They system is working just fine.
Everyone who keeps saying the system failed us... Please understand this. The system did not fail us.. It worked exactly as it has been created to. The system has been rigged against us from the beginning. The system is rigged to preserve white property, to protect white entitlement, and to serve white advancement in Amerikkka. Please understand that I am not saying that every white person is racist, but the fact is that every white person benefits from racism in this nation. Every white person has the benefit of the doubt in any situation in which they are pitted against people of color. They are granted the luxury of having a police force on their side against danger, rather than a police force who is dangerous to them and their loved ones. Amerikkka has a perfect system of subjugation set up in which they've now made racism invisible. Many white people genuinely believe that racism is over because they no longer see the Klan, or Jim Crow laws on the books, but racism is just as prevalent as ever in the judicial system. People don't see that 40 years of a "drug war" (which has been waged exclusively on poor people of color) has taken our fathers out of our families, have made us unemployable, have taken our rights to vote, our rights to education, housing, and countless other governmental aid programs. Then on top of that we are deemed "suspicious" and a threat. Until people can look at the nation through realistic lenses, this will only continue. So no... They system isn't failing us.. it's working just fine.

Frankly we fail ourselves, we fail our sons, we fail our daughters, when you see aunts applauding and lauging at their 9 year old neice twerking, FAILED!!, When a father calls his son a bitch ass becuase he shows a little sensitivity to an animal being mistreated FAILED. When parents don't follow up with their kids schools about WTF is happening, FAIL!! I knew this chick that sued the BOE becuase her daughter was in hischool and couldn't read, HOW IS THAT THE SCHOOL FAULT, how did she wait till HS to do something about it, the school has to watch 700 kids, you only have to worry about yours, in the hood parents use school as a big free babysitter, they don't care about homework when the kids get home, they don't show up for meetings to know what is happening. I hated my mom when I was a teen because I wanted to be out running in the streets, not upstairs watching Ocurrio Asi and Novelas with her and my grandma, well, it turned out reallly good for me 14 year old don't need to be in the street. Im just saying, the is the media mind fucking us with this one little act of shit, when the whooolllleee fucking world is crumpling around us.
ReplyDeleteI mean, YES, the "War on Drugs" was just about pumping the drugs into the ghettos and seeing what happens. My uncles and father lived in those same ghettos they didn't succumb to it, them niggas spoke no english, worked the lowliest of jobs at first, men here, won't work fo no 5.25 an hour, but nigga you ain't even got the bare essentials to qualify for something more, so suck it up and get yo minimum wage and work it up from there. Nobody has to, you want to be a sinverguenza that is on you, not on anyone else. Does the government come to the projects and piss and shit int he hallways, no. Those are savage people that don't give a shit about their lives or anyone elses. I don't care how much crack yo momma smoked infront of you, unless you have some mental retardation where you can't put right and wrong together that is a huge no no.

and ESPECIALLY, becase this system isn't designed with our people in mind. We need to really step up our games as mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts and guide our children, not leave them to raise themselves with tv and this shitty make believe rap. Was at the beach, this dumb bitch yelling at her kid for getting sand on her. WTF YOU COME TO THE BEACH FOR, go ahead, just set up a chair in front of your stoop and let your kids play in their when a park is right down the street, watching the hustlers do their thing, smoking in their faces. It's disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI can understand your points... we all have personal responsibility. But it isn't fair that we have so many obstacle placed in front of us. Please read "The New Jim Crow" by Michelle Alexander. You'll see how much the drug war has changed our lives for the worse. None of those things you're talking about were true until these New Jim Crow laws took effect
